Yoga in Sewickley for Kids from Haiti

During the months of February and March, we will designate several classes as “Yoga in Sewickley for Kids from Haiti”. All receipts from these classes will be donated to local groups aiding the Haitian cause such as Holy Family Institute in Emsworth which is currently caring for Haitian orphans brought to them following the earthquake. The first benefit classes will be on Tuesday, Feb. 23.

We have listed below our upcoming guest teachers. Look for sign up sheets at the studio or call Sharon at 412 741 6145 to pre register. These workshops will replace Sharon's regularly scheduled Sunday 9:30 class on 2/21 and 3/7.

Chakra Flow Class with Kendell Rominelli Sunday, March 7
10 to 12 Noon

Join us for a wonderful class which focuses on the chakras or energy centers of the body using Kundalini Yoga techniques of breathing and imaging. Kendell, our guest teacher, will teach us a Yoga flow which encompasses postures for strength and flexibility while energizing the mind and body. This unique and fun class is designed for all levels. Spring Cleaning:  Yoga Detox:  Sat., March 20 and Sun., March 21 

The first day of spring arrives March 20 and it is time to clean out the closets and clean out the body.   For their regularly scheduled classes on the 20th and 21st, Terri and Sharon will lead us in a body cleansing Yoga practice.   Come to one or both classes to twist and turn out the toxins.  No need to pre  register but bring water to class.

New Yoga Classes Begin at Signature Rehab:

Yoga in Sewickley instructors will teach two new Yoga classes at Signature Fitness Facility  located in the Medical Bldg at Hazel Lane and Ohio River Blvd.  These one hour classes will be offered on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 to 7:30 and Wednesday mornings from 6:30 to 7:30 and will be open to new students as well as to our current students.   Signature is featuring a promotional fee of $5 for the first class with packages available thereafter at $40 for 5 class sessions.  There is plenty of free parking available.  Come and check out this convenient and comfortable Yoga space.

Coming in April: Gentle Yoga Flow

Learn Sun Salutations and standing postures in this 5 week course. This class is ideal for brand new students or current students taking Gentle Classes who wish to have more challenge.  Class Size is limited to 9.  Sign up with Carol at 412 741 0275.

Cost:  Punch Card or $60 for the series
